Conlon Returns To Clare Starting Line Up For Down Clash In National Hurling League

John Conlon will make his first appearance of the season in Sundays National Hurling League tie against Down

The two time All Ireland winner returns after recovering from serious injury to take his place at centre back.

Eibhear Quilligan returns in goals with Ross Hayes, Conor Cleary and Dylan McMahon in the full back line.

Conlon is joined in the half back line by Diarmuid Ryan and Cathal Malone, while Darragh Lohan and Ryan Taylor continue at midfield.

Jack Kirwan makes his first starting appearance since sustaining a head injury in the Munster League win over Limerick and will line out at wing toward, with David Reidy in the centre and David Fitzgerald on the other wing.

Senan Dunford starts at full forward with Shane Meehan and Mark Rodgers in the corners.

Peter Duggan and Tony Kelly are among the subs while Ronan Kilroy, Ian Galvin and Jamie Moylan are on the match day squad for the first time this season
