The Clare woman who finished 5th in her category while representing Ireland in a novel athletic event says she was proud to uphold our growing pedigree in the sport.
Dee Collins from Sixmilebridge travelled to Italy at the weekend to partake in the Six Nations Mountain Running Championship.

She finished 7th overall in a 4.2km vertical race, before placing 5th and being the second Irish runner home in Sunday’s half-marathon event, beating her time last year by an impressive ten minutes.
Dee says the standard of the competition is always rising.
