Carmody Criticises Lack Of Communication From Croke Park On Abandoning Of Second Teams For 2025

The manager of the Clare camogie squad says its disappointing that players and management were not consulted in the decision to disband second teams for 2025.

Clare will only compete at senior level for the coming year after Croke Park ruled that no second teams will be allowed to compete in the lower divisions of the league or championship.

It means Clare’s intermediate squad will not be lining out having made the step up the grades after winning the All Ireland Premier Junior championship in 2023.

Clare boss John Carmody says it is denying players the opportunity to line out for their county at their level.
