There are five games down for decision this afternoon in the TUS Clare senior hurling championship.
Quarter final places could be decided while some teams could see their title dreams fade for another year.
The first of the five games get underway in Dr Daly Park in Tulla at 1pm, where Sixmilebridge and Newmarket are both battling to keep their hopes of progression in the championship alive, following both having opening day defeats.
It is the other end of the table that will be the focus for Kilmaley and Wolfe Tones when they meet in Clarecastle at 2pm, with a second victory for either side likely to see them all but assured of a quarter final place.
The defending champions Eire Óg are also eyeing up a place in the knockout stages when they face Scariff in Zimmer Biomet Pairc Chiosiog from 4pm, with the East Clare side needing to win in order to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.

Inagh-Kilnamona will be looking to make it back to back victories and one foot in the last eight when they meet Doora Barefield in Ruan from 5pm, with the Parish hoping to avoid a second loss of the season.
The final game of the evening comes from O’Garney Park in Sixmilebridge, where Cratloe take on O’Callaghan’s Mills, with both needing the win to give themselves a shot at qualifying heading into the final round.
Meanwhile there are two games today in the Premier Intermediate hurling championship.
Bodyke begin their season against near neighbours Tulla at 3.30pm in Clonlara, while there is a 6pm start in Broadford for the meeting of Clarecastle and Smith O’Brien’s.
