Wexford GAA say that comments made by Clare manager Brian Lohan in relation to the circumstances surrounding two Clare players being identified as close contacts of positive Covid-19 cases are “factually incorrect”.
Lohan outlined to RTÉ yesterday that the two Clare players had been nominated to the HSE as close contacts of the positive cases in the Wexford camp, but Wexford chairman Michéal Martin disputed that, telling South East Radio that the HSE could independently verify that those claims were untrue.

Clare GAA issued a statement this morning which detailed that the two Clare players involved had returned negative tests and were continuing to isolate in line with HSE guidelines.
