Walsh: No Pressure On Lifford Ahead Of Clare Cup Final Showdown With Avenue

The manager of the Lifford side hoping to capture the Clare Cup title this weekend says they can approach the game with no pressure on their shoulders.

The town side face rivals and defending champions Avenue United in the decider on Saturday evening in Frank Healy Park.

Lifford overcame Tulla United in a penalty shootout to reach the final, having lost out to Newmarket Celtic at that stage last year.

Meanwhile Avenue’s Dylan Casey is confident their squad is in a positive place ahead of the decider.

He says there is a sense of unity to retain their title within the group.

Kickoff on Saturday evening in Frank Healy Park is at 5.30pm
