UL Hospitals Group Asked By Govt To Reform Work Practices As Part Of Measures To Tackle Overcrowding

The UL Hospitals Group has been asked to reform work practices, as part of measures to tackle what the Health Minister has described as an unacceptable level of overcrowding.

Minister Stephen Donnelly has appeared before the Oireachtas Health Committee to discuss hospital overcrowding, as well as a reduction in waiting lists nationally for the first time since 2015.

He insists the Government is responding to requests for increased capacity and resources to help alleviate pressure at University Hospital Limerick and work remains ongoing.
