Uisce Éireann is assuring customers in North Clare that they won’t be left without access to water over the coming days.
The utility began restricting supplies in Fanore and surrounding areas last night, in an effort to recuperate local reservoir levels, which have dipped on account of high temperatures during the hot spell.
In the interim period, Uisce Éireann will continue to tanker water to the reservoir, with an external supply in place at the car park of O’Donoghue’s pub in Fanore Village.
Regional Operations Lead, Duane O’Brien says while the utility is experiencing particular difficulty in Fanore, alternative water sources will be made available to the public.
