Uisce Eireann has commenced improvement works to its water mains network in Ennis this week.
Crews have arrived on the Lifford Road to replace 250 metres of aged cast iron pipes, which the utility claims will improve water quality and supply reliability.
The works will take place from the R352, Kincora Park crossroads to the T-junction at Shannon Park and a traffic management plan will be in place throughout.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of March, and Uisce Eireann is assuring locals that a minimum of 48 hours notice will be given if any supply disruptions are required.
