Theme Park Attraction To Be Considered For Inclusion In Next Clare Tourism Strategy

Clare County Council has confirmed that it will consider the inclusion of a new theme park attraction in its next tourism strategy.

It follows a proposal at this month’s meeting of the local authority which sought the construction of a new amusement facility in a bid to boost local visitor numbers.

In response, Tourism Director Leonard Cleary confirmed plans to publish a new fifteen year blueprint for the Shannon Heritage sites for 2025 to 2040, which will focus on the future vision for product development.

Newmarket-On-Fergus Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat “The Mace” McMahon believes Bunratty Castle & Folk Park is the obvious choice.
