NUI Galway has been named University of the Year in the new edition of The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022.
It’s the fourth time that the Galway University has won the title in the past 20 years.
The college was commended for leading the way in medical advances for the treatment of Covid-19, providing relief for some of the worst emotional impacts of the disease, and offering leadership in planning how best to cope with future pandemics.

The newly formed Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands and MidWest, which has a campus on Bindon Street in Ennis, placed ninth in the Third Level Ranking, in it’s first appearance since the former institutes of technology in Limerick and Athlone merged.
