The Labour leader has accused the Taoiseach of being “utterly dismissive” of the “catastrophic crisis” unfolding for tenants in Clare and across the country.

Ivana Bacik, who has strong family links to this county, says there’s no doubt that people will be made homeless as a result of the Government’s lifting of the eviction ban on Saturday.

The Labour party will use its private members’ time on Wednesday to bring forward a motion of no confidence in the Government.

The Taoiseach has described the Labour Party motion as political theatre, but Deputy Bacik has told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that they were left with “no choice” but to do it.
