Taaffe: Penalty Shootout Is Not The Way To Decide A County Final

The manager of the 2021 Clare U21B hurling champions feels a penalty shootout was a harsh way for a final to be decided.

Crusheen-Tubber made history by becoming the first Clare club hurling team to win silverware via a shootout after they overcame Bodyke-O’Callaghan’s Mills.

It was the clubs third attempt at silverware in the last four years, following defeats in the 2018 B final and the top level decider two years ago.
