Status Orange Weather Warning For Clare And Four Other Counties

Met Eireann has issued a Status Orange weather warning for Clare and four other counties as Storm Barra is due to make landfall on Tuesday.

Clare along with Limerick, Galway, Cork and Kerry are set to be hit with winds of up to 130 kilometres per hour with disruption to power and travel likely.

High waves, high tides and heavy rain will bring coastal flooding on the west and south coasts.

A yellow alert will also come in for Tipperary, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Waterford and all of Leinster.

The warning comes into effect at 6am on Tuesday and will last until 6am on Wednesday.
