St. John’s National School In Shannon Highlight Cash For Clobber Initiative

On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Kevin Twomey who is the Principal of St. John’s National School in Shannon. Kevin discussed the Cash for Clobber fundraiser that the students of the school are currently partaking in between January 5th and January 20th. This initiative aims to teach school children the value of recycling while raising significant valuable funds for the school. He called on the people of Shannon and Clare to donate any unwanted clothes, shoes, handbags or sheets to the school.
Kevin described the importance of the fundraiser for the school which has grown significantly in numbers since 2019.St. John’s has a school population now of over 60 students including 27 students from Ukraine.
