Slight Dip In Overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has dipped slightly.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 110 admitted patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 45 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figures is 30 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.

It comes on a day when 683 admitted patients were left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
