Sixmilebridge And Wolfe Tones Set For Clare SHC Showdown

Reigning Clare senior hurling champions Sixmilebridge will play their neighbours Wolfe Tones in Shannon this evening in round 2 of the championship.

Both won their opening round games with the ‘Bridge defeating Clarecastle while Wolfe Tones overcame Scariff.

Wolfe Tones will have home advantage after agreeing to a request from Sixmilebridge to play the game midweek due to one of their squad members getting married this week.

Sixmilebridge manager, Tim Crowe, says that he appreciates the fact that Wolfe Tones have agreed to bring the game forward.

Meanwhile, Wolfe Tones will be looking to build on their first round win over Scariff.

Their manager, Ray Diviney, says that they know they will have to be at their best against the ‘Bridge.

However, he is confident that the Shannon men will give it everything as they seek to maintain their championship run.
