Sixmilebridge Off The Mark In 2021 Clare Cup

Sixmilebridge are off the mark in Division 1A of the Clare Cup as they saw off the challenge of Clooney-Quin by 1-23 to 0-18 thanks in part to a second half goal from Jason Loughnane.

Conor McGrath fired the last two points of the game as Cratloe edge out Inagh-Kilnamona by 1-21 to 2-17 with Rian Considine firing 1-10 for the winners.

Clonlara held off a late Kilmaley challenge to win by 1-16 to 0-15 with an early Dylan McMahon goal setting them on their way,  while Broadford overcame Ballyea by 2-16 to 1-13 as late goals from Oisin Kavanagh and Shane Tuite helped the East Clare men over the line.

In Division 1B, Doora Barefield took the bragging rights with a 2-22 to 2-9 win over Eire Og while Smith O’Briens had a 0-23 to 0-13 win against Wolfe Tones.
