Sixmilebridge are sweating on the fitness of two key players ahead of their Clare senior hurling quarter final against Eire Og tomorrow.

County star Cathal Malone is in a race against time to recover from a hamstring injury while Jamie Shanahan is also understood to be doubtful for a place in the starting line up.

The holders, who are bidding to win a third consecutive title for the first time in their history, came through the group stages unbeaten with victories over Clarecastle, Wolfe Tones and Scariff.

Former Clare All Ireland winner Fergal Hegarty feels it will be a game to look forward to.

Throw in tomorrow in Cusack Park is at 4.30pm with live commentary here on Clare FM in association with Sean Murray Car Sales Kilmurray and Sixmilebridge, and MC Auto Repairs Sixmilebridge.
