Significant Struggle To Fill Clare’s Vacant Public Orthodontist Role

Fears are being expressed that public Orthodontic services in Clare could be delayed for a protracted period.

The specialist Orthodontist covering this county retired in July and has yet to be replaced and although the HSE offered the position to successful candidates in five subsequent recruitment campaigns, the role has not been accepted.

Currently the waiting list for patients availing of most severe treatments in the MidWest is in excess of four years.
