Sharp Rise In Trolley Numbers At Region’s Main Hospital

Nurses have reported another sharp increase in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital today.

The latest analysis from the INMO show there were 112 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 46 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 52 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.
