On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by David Ryan who is a professional boxer from Shannon. David discussed his delight at recently being announced as the winner of the Irish boxing pro debut of the year award for 2022. He described the hard work that went into receiving such an award and mentioned the level of commitment required in the sport. He also spoke about his second professional bout where he was victorious in his encounter with Dale Arrowsmith. David highlighted some of the obstacles that came in his way in the build up to the fight. He also pointed out key dates in the calendar for when and where he will next enter the ring.
