Ennistymon manager Mark Shanahan says Sunday’s Clare senior football final will be a proud occasion for all involved.

The club is preparing for a second showpiece event in their history as they look to capture the title for the first time when taking on Eire Óg in Sunday’s final.

There are several injury concerns to contend with, as Kevin Hehir and Cathal Malone are among the long term injured list.

Meanwhile Eire Óg’s longest serving player feels their 2021 victory has had a hugely positive impact on the whole club.

Victory over Kilmurry Ibrickane in last year’s final saw the Townies end a 15 year wait to keep Jack Daly in the county town.

Daniels, who played in his first county final in 2001, says success is something that can drive a club forward.
