A former Clare captain thinks the county board must reassess how they select the next senior hurling manager.

Outgoing joint boss Donal Moloney formally withdrew his name in a statement yesterday citing “uncertainty over the process.”

Brian Lohan and Louis Mulqueen are the current front runners for the post vacated by Moloney and Gerry O’Connor.
