Clare Director of Samaritans says making time for people is the most important message this holiday season.
Volunteers on the 24-hour-helpline answered more than 35,000 calls in Ireland last December, including almost 1,000 on Christmas Day alone.
People in Clare are reminded that the Samaritans helpline are always open for those who may be struggling and can be reached on 116 123, with other forms of communication also available.
