Rouine Confident Ennistymon Can Continue Building In Clare Club Football Championships

Ennistymon’s Brendan Rouine feels the club are starting to benefit from the work put in at underage level over the last few years.

The North Clare club are set for a busy weekend, with adult teams involved in knockout championship ties at three different grades.

They face Miltown on Friday evening in the Junior B Premier Quarter Final, with Cooraclare providing the opposition in the intermediate semi final, while a derby with neighbours St Breckan’s awaits in the Clare senior football quarter-final.

Ennistymon vs St Breckans gets underway on Saturday in Cusack Park at 4pm with commentary on Clare FM with McDermott’s Pub, and McGann’s Pub Doolin.

Meanwhile Kilmurry Ibrickane manager James Murrihy is warning his side cannot afford to switch off during the 60 minutes if they are to make it back to the semi-finals.

Last year’s beaten finalists take on Cratloe in a repeat of the 2020 final, with the Bricks looking to regain their title.

Murrihy says the manner in which his side dug out the victory to reach this point is a positive aspect he’s hoping to build on
