The Lifeboat Operations Manager at Kilrush RNLI says vital donations from the people of Clare has helped to keep life boats afloat.

Over the past decade, RNLI lifeboats have been called out over 1,200 times during the festive period.

The public are reminded that if they see anyone in trouble in the water to call 999 or 112 and ask for the coast guard.

Lifeboat Operations Manager at Kilrush RNLI, Shawna Johnson, says they are always looking for volunteers for every aspect of the organisation.
