Reduction In Trolley Numbers At Region’s Main Hospital

There’s been a drop in trolley numbers at the region’s main hospital today.

But nurses say University Hospital Limerick remains the busiest in the country once again.

The latest figures from the INMO show 51 patients were waiting for beds at the Dooradoyle facility this morning, 39 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The overall figures is down by more than a dozen on yesterday’s figures, but is 15 more than the next busiest hospital in the country today.
