It’s claimed a significant funding boost proposed for East Clare will be vital for advancing road safety in the region.
It comes as a General Municipal Allocation of €245,000 has been proposed for the Killaloe Electoral area at a special budgetary meeting this week.
The funding is traditionally used by local representatives to support discretionary projects such as community and sporting organisations.
