Pilot GP Pathway To Be Rolled Out At Region’s Main Hospital

A pilot primary care pathway is set to be rolled out at University Hospital Limerick in the coming weeks.

The initiative will operate seven days a week from 12pm to 10pm and will enable non-urgent patients presenting at ED without referral to be seen by a GP.

It comes as new figures reveal that 80,113 patients attended the Emergency Department in Dooradoyle last year.
