An overhaul of the management structure of Clare GAA is one of the main focal points from the report complied by the Strategic Plan Committee.

The committee has recommended that a full time operations manager be appointed with the role eventually evolving into a CEO. The recruitment of a Finance Manager along with a Commercial and Brand Manager is also suggested with a target of mid 2022 set for those appointments.

The Centre of Excellence at Caherlohan is also given focus, with the development of a full length 4G pitch and indoor training facility listed as priorities, along with the complete refurbishment of the playing pitches at the €4.8 million euro venue.

It is also suggested that the administrative base for Clare GAA be moved to Caherlohan, with plans in place to rezone the current site at Clareabbey for residential purposes in order to maximise the money raised from its eventual sale.

It’s understood club delegates are set to debate the report before voting on its adoption at a Special Convention on November 1st.
