Ongoing Concern Over Anti-Social Behaviour In Shannon Despite Assurances From Gardaí

Continued concern has been expressed about ongoing issues relating to anti-social behaviour in Shannon, despite assurances from Gardaí.

In recent weeks, residents in the town have said they are living in fear of coming under attack from a small gang of youths.

However, Gardaí have now told local Councillors that there was no rise in the total number of assaults from 2016 to 2017 and they haven’t seen a spike in incidents in recent months, despite the attention on the issue.
