A small number of primary school children in Clare, in some cases up to sixth class, WILL be able to return to school next week.
While the government had announced that primary students up to second class would return to schools from Monday, the Department of Education has now confirmed that in cases where teachers are teaching mixed classes that include some pupils from senior classes, those children should also return school.
The clarification means students from many of Clare’s smallest schools, who are in third class or higher, will be welcomed back to the classroom next week.
