O’Dea In The Running To Be Named 2021 LGFA Intermediate Player Of The Year

Clare’s Niamh O’Dea has been nominated as the 2021 LGFA intermediate player of the year.

The Banner Ladies clubwoman is part of a three strong shortlist for the award, alongside Westmeath duo Sarah Dillon and Lucy McCartan.

The Kilfenora native was in outstanding scoring form across the season for Clare, amassing a personal tally of 3-13 during their run to the quarter finals.

O’Dea was named on the 2020 intermediate team of the year along with team mate Roisín Considine.

The senior player of the year award will be going Meath with Vikki Wall, Emma Duggan and Emma Troy all shortlisted for the All Ireland champions.

The winners will be revealed at the 2021 TG4 All-Star Awards Banquet, in association with Lidl, which will be held at Dublin’s Bonnington Hotel on Saturday, November 13.
