The captain of the Clare senior hurlers feels they will look back on the 2017 season with a sense of huge regret.
Defeat to Tipperary in the All Ireland Quarter Final means that the Banner haven’t gone beyond that stage since being crowned champions in 2013, while Limerick, Laois and Offaly remain the only teams Clare have beaten in that period in the championship.
This year also saw the Banner lose their National League title, with status in the top tier being secured after a relegation playoff win over Dublin in Cusack Park.
