Ger O’Connell has announced that he has stepped down as the manager of the Clare senior camogie squad.
The Clonlara man informed the players and board officials of his decision after Saturday’s win over Westmeath in the All Ireland championship.
It brings an end to his three year term in charge of the squad, having been appointed in 2019.
Clare overcame Westmeath to secure their place in the top tier for 2022, having suffered six point losses to both Kilkenny and Galway in the championship.
Speaking after Saturday’s win, O’Connell admitted it was a frustrating season all round.
