A further 16,986 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed today.
804 people are in hospital with the virus, 93 of whom are in intensive care.
Despite the rise in hospitalisations nationally, the number of those requiring treatment at the region’s main facility have fallen slightly.

As of 8pm last night, there were 40 people being treated for Covid-19 in University Hospital Limerick, of which 9 were in ICU.
