Clare’s football boss has called on GAA authorities to be accommodating to Fermanagh ahead of their National League clash in 11 days time.

Colm Collins’ side are due to play the Ulstermen on the 18th October at Cusack Park in the National Football League, before facing Armagh a week later.

The Lakeland county has suspended training and all games there until further notice, as a result of a spike in Covid-19 cases within the county and its senior football panel.

It would appear to put the fixture in serious doubt as Clare battle for Division 2 survival.

Manager Colm Collins, however, says they should not be able to take advantage of Fermanagh’s plight.

Meanwhile, the Clare senior hurlers will be without Podge Collins for this year’s senior hurling championship.

The Cratloe man has reportedly told Brian Lohan he will not be available for the upcoming championship season.

It’s another absentee for the Banner ahead of their championship opener with Limerick later this month, with John Conlon and Colm Galvin already ruled out through injury.
