The issues surrounding relegation from the Clare senior hurling championship are set to rumble on.

Broadford, Whitegate, Scariff and Smith O’Brien’s have requested the county board arrange a special meeting to discuss the issues and implications of the decision taken to retain an 18 team championship for 2022.

A meeting in late December saw clubs vote by a narrow margin to reinstate Clarecastle and Crusheen to the senior championship, after Munster GAA ruled the relegation series had not been played according to rule.
