Newmarket Celtic Stay Top Of Clare Premier Division As Avenue Keep Pressure On

Avenue United have moved into outright second spot in the Clare Premier Division standings.

David Russell’s side warmed up for next weekend’s FAI Junior Cup last 32 tie with a comfortable 7-0 win over Shannon Hibs.

The Ennis side are just two points off leaders Newmarket Celtic but have a game in hand, with Newmarket staying top after a 4-1 win over Ennis Town.
