Its claimed a new tax incentive for landlords could be transformational for long term rental supply in Clare.
Housing charity, Threshold has launched its pre-budget submission , which is seeking to introduce a sliding scale initiative that would see landlords pay a reduced amount of tax based on the length of fixed term tenancy they can offer.
There are currently just 24 properties available to rent today in Clare, while more than 1,000 short term listings are available for booking on Daft.ie
