New Report Finds Clare Has Bucked National Trend On House Prices

A new report has found that Clare has bucked the national trend in terms of house prices.

The latest daft.ie quarterly report outlines that house prices across the country have fallen by 0.3% between January and March this year, the first time in a decade a drop in listed prices has been recorded in the first quarter.

Despite this, house prices in the banner have risen by 2%, according to the report, with the average cost of a home now at 234,000 euro

The Clare figures echo the findings of a similar report released by the Real Estate Alliance earlier this week.

Author of the report, Daft.ie economist Ronan Lyons says the reason for the rise in Clare housing prices is due to fluctuating figures in the county over the last 12 months.
