New Local Culture Plan For Clare

A new local culture plan has been launched for Clare.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny was on hand as 31 culture plans were launched for local authorities nationwide at Dublin Castle this week.

Highlights from the local plan include a collaborative initiative to protect Clare’s natural resources, an international musical exchange festival and the establishment of a film forum.

The launch comes after some local representatives hit out at what they call the failure to provide a follow-up programme to last year’s 1916 commemorations here.
