On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined in studio by Laura McHugh, the HSE’s National Breastfeeding Co-ordinator ahead of National Breastfeeding Awareness Week which begins tomorrow.
Alan was also joined by Nina Carey a member of La Leche League which is a voluntary organisation which provides information and support to women who want to breastfeed their babies.
A number of events to promote breastfeeding will be happening across the week including the launch of a breastfeeding support group at Kilrush Health Centre on Wednesday the 5th October at 10.30am and La Leche League Coffee Morning will be taking place in the Hope Cafe in Shannon tomorrow from 10am to 1pm.
