On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined live from Glór by John Quinlivan, Eamonn Cotter and Mary McNamara to mark the celebration of the venues 21st birthday. They discussed the history of the venue and the work involved in getting Glór up and running for it’s open night 21 years ago. Minister Síle de Valera officially opened the venue on Friday 30th November 2001. Since the official opening in 2001, close to one million people have attended over 8,200 performances and events in the venue.
Glór will be hosting a concert in celebration of 21 years on Saturday the 26th November. Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets are available on the Glór website.
