On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan took a trip to the West Clare Cancer Centre in Kilkee where he spoke to Willie McGrath who is the Chairman of the centre along with Mary Keane who is the Office Manager and Rose Keane who is the Office Administrator. The trio discussed the crucial role that the centre plays for cancer patients throughout the county and highlighted the support services available for those who are suffering. Rose Keane shared her experience of the centre and how the taxi and counselling services assisted her when she was suffering with cancer in 2014. Willie discussed the upcoming West Clare Cancer Centre 25th Mini Marathon which is set to take place on Sunday 29th of January in Kilkee as a fundraiser event. He urged anyone who wishes to participate in the marathon on Sunday to do so while Mary praised the people of the county for their consistent support of the cause.
