Two goals in the final quarter courtesy of Micheal Malone and Gordon Kelly, along with 0-14 from Cormac Murray, saw them register a comfortable 2-21 to 0-4 win.

It was tighter for the most part in Shanahan McNamara Park in Doonbeg where Kildysart were 0-14 to 0-8 winners over Doonbeg with Diarmuid O’Donnell and Seamus Casey leading the scoring stakes.

Ennistymon had a familiar face to thank for the crucial score in their win over Eire Óg, as former county star Laurence Healy found the net in the second half to help them to a 1-11 to 0-11 win.

The spoils were shared in Ballynacally as St Breckan’s scored the last two points of the game to earn a 1-12 to 0-15 draw against Clondegad, with Maccon Byrne scoring the games only goal for the North Clare men early in the second half.

In the Garry Cup, O’Curry’s overcame Kilmihil, Doora Barefield beat Shannon Gaels, Lissycasey edged out Kilrush and Corofin got the better of Cooraclare.
