On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey spoke to Michael Blake, who is Team Ireland’s Chef d’Équipe that led the country to Nation’s Cup glory for the first time in seven years.
Victory in the Nation’s Cup ensured that the most prestigious trophy in show-jumping, the Aga Khan Trophy would be returning to the island for the first time since 2015.
Michael himself hails from Tuamgraney. On Wednesday evening, Michael was given a hero like reception when he brought the Aga Khan Trophy on a quick visit to the East Clare Memorial Park in Tuamgraney.
