Mayor Hits Out Over Ennis Traffic Congestion Saying “It’s Never Been As Bad”

The Mayor of Ennis has raised concern of traffic congestion in the county town, saying it’s “never been as bad” as it is currently.

Ennis Municipal District has conceded that traffic conditions have been challenging in the town in recent months due to various resurfacing and water mains replacement works as well as public realm enhancements O’Connell Street.

Although the local authority expects an “increased improvement” now that works have mostly concluded, Councillor Pat Daly has called on it to liaise with Gardaí to arrange a “free flow of traffic” throughout the town.
