On Monday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Mary KcKeown and Niamh O’ Callaghan who are involved in organising the Kilrush and Shannon St Patrick’s Day parades respectively. Mary discussed the Kilrush Parade including the theme of the parade which will be ‘Diversity in West Clare’ and mentioned the programme of events that will take place on the day. The series of events will begin at 1:30 pm and will be led by Meteorologist Michelle Dillon. Niamh spoke about the Shannon parade and she outlined the series of events that will take place throughout the day. She spoke about Joe Buckley who is the Grand Marshal of the event and described the idea behind the theme of this years parade.
